This is a vibrant necklace, featuring a beautiful pre-Columbian Peruvian turquoise bead, flanked by my silver caps and lively stone beads from the Tairona culture. The Tairona were an ancient indigenous society in what is now Colombia, an area of South America which is famous for precious and beautiful stones and skilled craftspeople to work them.
The beads on this necklace are in multicoloured hues of jade, agate, quartz, carnelian, jasper, amethyst and sodalite, along with silver spacers that I have created after ancient whorl beads, used in spinning wool. The necklace closes with my signature serpent hook in silver.
