This is a bold statement of a necklace, with an extraordinary large central bead of ancient carnelian, etched in a fine pattern of petals and dots. This special bead is combined with antique Yemeni amber in rich golden tones, and very rare Neolithic disk beads in green serpentine. I have brought these elements together with my own beads in rose gold, all on a handwoven fine silver chain with my signature serpent hook clasp in gold.
The warm oranges and golds of the carnelian and amber, along with the rich green of the serpentine, combine in an earthy, naturalistic palette that carries a calming and centering energy. The green serpentine beads are of Neolithic origin, from up to 7000 years ago, and are some of the oldest artifacts I work with. I reserve them for very special pieces like this one, where they can really shine.
